As part of a small, fast-moving, innovation-focused company, the Senior Staff Digital Design & Verification Engineer will work closely with analog / mixed signal design engineers and systems applications engineers to define and design the digital section of our ICs. Digital plays a major role in all aspects of our ICs performance including system control, high speed processing of digitized data and parametric control of analog cells.
About the role:
As CAD / Layout Manager you will be responsible for management of both the CAD group and the Layout group:
- Manage CAD Group in support of:
- CAD tool maintenance
- PDK development and validation
- CAD automation
- Reuse Library Infrastructure
- Definition and coordination with IT department in support of design activities
- Manage Layout Group in support of:
- Layout for Product Development
- Layout for Research and Development
- Layout Reuse Library and Documentation
Acceptable candidates must be disciplined and able to follow established engineering practices when available and to generate and document new practices when needed.
About You:
Must possess/demonstrate the following:
- BSEE or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CAD layout
- Strong knowledge of Cadence Virtoso/AMS/RFIC design tools
- Extensive hands-on experience developing Process Design Kits, including P-cells, Technology Files, LVS and DRC decks, and LPE.
- Knowledge of RF design and simulation tools preferred
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Ability to effectively lead a group of up to 15 CAD engineers and layout designers
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and mentor less-experienced team members
