Staff CAD Engineer

About the Role:

  • Support and Enhance the ability of the Design, Technology and Layout teams to execute via various initiatives requiring scripting, training and new tools
  • Manage CAD tools and Foundry PDKs required for IC Design & Layout including their use, their installation and the rollout of updates
  • Address any CAD-related issues experienced by the Engineering teams

About You:

  • 10+ years of experience in CAD roles
  • Experience with multiple CAD tools (Cadence, Mentor, Synopsys and others)
  • Support analog mixed signal design tools and flows
  • Experience writing and updating Calibre and Assura decks for DRC/LVS/extraction
  • BS in CS or EE or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of the IC Design flow
  • Expertise with the installation, modification and debug of Siemens Calibre and Cadence Assura runset decks and tools
  • Expertise with the Cadence Design System custom analog design front-end and back-end tools
  • Experience providing PDK support including installation and customization
  • Provide user EDA support using bug ticketing software
  • Experienced in SKILL programming including pcell coding and application development is a plus
  • Expertise in shell scripting and Perl and/or python programming
  • Able to thrive in a team-oriented environment with engineers in multiple locations
