The online design tool ‘Power Density Hero’ design software supports the recently announced production ramp of the SZ1130 Active Clamp Flyback (AFC) controller’s range of applications with a few simple steps. First, the customer enters their power performance needs and product parameters for the ‘Power Density Hero’ to instantly calculate the necessary electronic components and their values. Second, the design tool sends a personalized and confidential document with all the design specifications, schematics, and a full ‘Bill of Materials (BoM) for all devices, power ICs and discrete components optimized to the customer’s application.
SZ1130 devices are ACF controllers that integrate an adaptive digital PWM controller and the following Ultra High-Voltage (UHV) components: an Active Clamp FET, Active Clamp Gate Driver, and a Startup Regulator. This unprecedented integration level facilitates designing efficient, high-power-density adapters with low BoM cost to satisfy power-hungry mobile phones, tablets, notebooks, and video game consoles. ‘Power Density Hero’ design software will soon expand to Silanna Semiconductor’s entire AC/DC and DC/DC family of products.
